Why there isn't any big, 4-Door Convertible anymore?
I mean...
Everything looks better with the top down. Except the moronic cross carbiolet. Just imagine a convertible flying spur. Or a Convertible S-Class. Or a Convertible Jaguar XJ. That would be really, really fantastic.

Structural rigidity and crash safety.

There really is no market for them. People who want ultra luxury would buy a separate car for their convertible. They want to remain somewhat discrete in their Bentleys/Maybachs, which is why most have tinted windows. If they want to stand out, they buy a Drophead and drive it themselves.

There would also be almost no trunk left with the top stowed. Back in the good old days Cadillacs had trunks that were six feet long, so subtracting two feet for top stowage wasn't so bad.

The boys in Detroit are (maybe) working on it.

Mercedes actually made this Ocean Drive concept based on then current S-class in 2007. There probably wasn't any plans to put it in production though.

I know. It's gorgeous!
I even wouldn't mind buying one of those.

This. It's also why we don't get any of the cars with no pillar between the doors anymore

You mean a hardtop coupe. Mercedes still does, but they are the only ones.

Safety and rigidity, as others have said, on top of there not being much of a market for them.
There are, of course, landaulets like the Maybach Landaulet, but I doubt that the fold-back roof is what you're looking for.

Mercedes-Benz still produces the E-Class and CL-Class pillarless coupes, but that's sadly it.
